The Boonville Amateur Radio Club provides radio communications for events such as the Woodsmen's 10K and Town & Country 10K. The club would like to have more licensed radio operators available for these events. Obtaining the required Amateur Radio license is relatively easy. Morse code is not required. It would be very handy for anyone working at these events to be able to pick up a radio and communicate with the radio operators on the course. Aside from that, ham radio can be a lot of fun. Please consider getting a ham radio license to add to your toolkit of communication resources.
